  About the VPII-T Module

The T-Module is designed to enable VPII S Mode 3 to be directly interfaced to the TCP/IP network. Its basic operation is to convert data from RS232 to TCP/IP and vice versa. All data for TCP?IP communication is encrypted by AES ( Advanced Encryption Standard) for secure communication in the public network.

The VPII-T module provides easy implementation of central server system when designing access control and/or time attendance application using VPII-S Mode 3 hand vascular pattern verification terminal. The central server system can be a PC or a server computer or an embedded system designed for the purpose of access control.

The T-Module also has door lock control functions in order for the server system o implement a complete access control system without using additional devices. Moreover, the T-Module is capable of storing a limited amount of user data so that the user can access the system even if the server system is shut don or the communication function of the TCP?IP network in in trouble (Sage Mode Operation). The T-Module can refer to a maximum of 2 server systems, one of which can serve as a backup.

  Main Functions

TCP/IP Interface

  1. Data conversion between RS232 and TCP/IP
  2. IP Address

Door control

1. Electrical lock connection

  • Relay output for door open
  • Time adjustment of relay output

2. Input port for exit button

3. Input port for door sensor to detech door status (open/close)

4. Alarm functions

  • Output port alarm unit connection (12V, 400 mA)
  • If the T-Module deteces door open when it does not output the door-open signal, it generates a signal on the alarm output port
  • It is possible to control the output time
