VP-II S Internal Module, which is provided optionally,
is required to connect electrical door lock to the VP-II
S since it is not allowed to connect door lock to the
VP-II S directly for security reason.
The purpose of using Internal Module is to keep
the highest security of the system by preventing from
unexpected door open by an unauthorized person with
bad intention.
- If the door lock is directly connected to the VP-II
S, someone can open a door by connecting a proper
power source such as battery to the wires connected
to the lock after removing the VP-II S by force.
- When the Internal Module is connected, all the users
data are stored in the memory of Internal Module instead
of the memory of VP-II S. Otherwise someone can also
open the door by connecting a new VP-II S after removing
the existing VP-II S.
Internal Module is installed at inside of door.
It provides several optional ports to interface to
other devices, as described below. The communication
between IM and VP-II S is via the RS 232.
